The retrofit and additional solutions for securing windows and doors previously provided in a variety of property rights are not able to be inexpensively retrofitted and / or offer sufficient resistance to break-in and the effects of violence, and are visually unobtrusive and appealing. The state of the art, for example, the patent application DE 202008010714 U1 burglar alarm bracket is named because it comes closest to the proposed solution. This solution is striking, visually unappealing and offers less resistance when subjected to violence, since it is only positively connected on one side and requires additional holes in the window sashes. The additional safety device for single-leaf and double-leaf windows and doors that open inwards essentially consists of a safety plate (1) that is attached to the handle (6) for opening or closing.
